There are a few alternative routes for travellers to follow to really discover the Lands of Jose Maria El Tempranillo.
ITINERY FOR A ONE-DAY VISIT:
1. SCARED THE ROUTE OF JOSÉ Mª EL TEMPRANILLO:
In JAUJA, place where the Tempranillo grew, visit the Romantic Bandit Thematic Centre and the Chuch of San José. Know the importance of the River Genil, in the River Genil Thematic Centre, in BADOLATOSA. Discover the place where the Tempranillo recived the pardon, the Hermitage of Fuensanta Virgin and the caves where he sought refuge, in CORCOYA. In ALAMEDA, in the Church of the Inmaculada Concepcion is the Patio Mausoleum where his remains are laid to rest. In the same village, visit the Andalusian Countryside Thematic Centre, which shows how the work was at the time of banditry, and finally, the Roman Baths Thematic Centre, where you can see an archaeological site declared as a national monument. Enjoy the stunning scenery that shows the river Genil, as the Spot of Pontón in CORCOYA, or Meander along the River Genil in BADOLATOSA, where you can hear some interesting stories inside the River Genil Thematic Centre. Visit the Romantic Bandit Thematic Centre in JAUJA to learn more about bandits and robbers. Finally, visit the nature reserve of Laguna Amarga and Dulce, on the road between Jauja and Lucena, where you will be amazed at the beauty and be able to see lots of endangered species.
4. CULTURE IN THE LANDS OF JOSÉ MARÍA EL TEMPRANILLO:
This visit offers, the ability to view the most important cultural resources within the destination “the lands of Jose Maria El Tempranillo”. Start with a visit to the Church of San José, the Arabian mill and the Romantic Bandit Thematic Centre in JAUJA. The Church of the Inmaculada Concepción in Benamejí. In ALAMEDA, visiting the Church of the Inmaculada Concepción, the Mausoleum of Jose Maria El Tempranillo, and Andalusian Countryside and Roman Baths Thematic Centres. To finish, the Roman Quarries of Cerro Bellido, and the Church of the Encarnación, in CASARICHE.
ITINERY FOR A WEEKEND VISIT:
DISCOVERING THE LANDS OF JOSE MARIA THE TEMPRANILLO:
Friday afternoon:
- Arrive in Casariche, welcome reception with the guide.
- Visit the Roman Quarries of Cerro Bellido.
- Transfer to accommodation.
On Saturday:
- Transfer to Jauja, visit the Romantic Bandit Thematic Centre.
- Then on to Badolatosa to the River Genil Thematic Centre and the meander of the River Genil.
- On to the Hermitage of Fuensanta Virgin in Corcoya.
- Lunch.
- In Alameda we see the Church of the Inmaculada Concepción and Mausoleum of José Mª El Tempranillo, aswell as the Andalusian Countryside Thematic Centre, the Roman Baths thematic Centre and archaeological site.
On Sunday:
- Transfer to Palenciana, and visit the Natural Landscape Thematic Centre.
- Visit the Rift view point in Benamejí.
